TEAM
- Chattanooga dropped an 85-72 decision at UNCG Saturday evening…fall to 6-9 overall, 1-1 in the Southern Conference…Spartans rise to 13-2, 2-0 in league play.
- The Mocs grabbed just 25 rebounds…fewest since getting just 17 last February against Mercer.
- -5 turnover margin with 17 miscues…also -5 in points off turnovers with 11 compared to UNCG's 16.
- 13 offensive rebounds for the Spartans ties for second-highest by an opponent this season behind 15 at South Alabama…converted into 10 second-chance points by the Spartans.
- Season-high 52.9 percent shooting making 27 of 51 shots…51.4 percent (90-175) over last three games.
- 45 combined fouls but with just 44 combined free throws as each team took 22…Chattanooga made 14 (63.6%), while the Spartans were near perfect at 90.9 percent (20 FTM).
- The Mocs limited UNCG to 38.2 percent (13-34) shooting in the first half but yielded 55.2 percent (16-29) in the second.
 
BY THE NUMBERS
3 – Straight contests shooting 50 percent or better from the field.
4 – 3pt made are fewest since making just one in the loss at South Alabama…second-lowest in 2018-19.
8 – Straight games with 70 or more points…4-4 over that stretch.
10 – 3pt attempts is the least taken all season…fewest since taking nine (making two) in Feb. 2, 2015 win at Wofford.
12 – Rebound deficit for the Mocs (25-37)…second-most of 2018-19.
40 – Percent shooting from 3pt range…seventh time this campaign making 40 percent or better beyond the arc.
85 – Spartan points is the third-most against the Mocs this season.
 
SERIES NOTES
- 24-20 series lead over the Spartans.
- 10-11 in Greensboro
- 20-17 overall in SoCon regular season affairs.
- The two squads split the last three season series…last sweep came in 2014-15 with the Mocs claiming 81-72 (home) and 62-59 (away) wins…the latter came courtesy of a last (split) second 3pt by Ronrico White.

- Career-high 18 points shooting 8-12 from the field and 2-4 at the FT line.
- 24 minutes played is a season high in his five outings.
- Averaging 10.4 ppg shooting 61.5 percent (24-39).
 
David Jean-Baptiste, So.-G
- 16 points and a team-high four assists.
- Hit 5-9 from the floor, 2-2 at the 3pt line and 4-5 from the charity stripe.
 
Donovann Toatley, Fr.-G
- 15 points and three assists in 24 minutes off the bench.
- 6-10 shooting…made 29 of 52 (55.8%) over last five averaging 13.8 ppg.
