The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team heads to Mercer for a Tuesday afternoon Southern Conference match in Macon, Ga. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m. (E.D.T.) at the Leroy Peddy Tennis Center.
The Mocs enter the dual with a 6-6 overall record, including wins in four of their last five outings. Sophomore
Niklas Gerdes leads the team with a 7-4 mark at No. 1 singles in the spring.
Chattanooga is looking to go 2-0 in SoCon play for the first time since 2007. The Mocs defeated The Citadel 4-3 on Feb. 23. UTC has not won two SoCon matches in a season since 2014.
The Mocs are 2-3 all-time against Mercer. The Bears have won all three meetings since joining the SoCon in 2015. This streak includes Mercer's 4-1 win in Chattanooga on April 6 of last year.
