CHATTANOOGA – The Chattanooga Mocs softball team gets set to conclude regular season play by hosting No. 15 Auburn for a 2 p.m. Sunday doubleheader in front of a sold-out Jim Frost Stadium.
Auburn visits the Scenic City for the first time and is the highest ranked opponent to face the Mocs at their home stadium since No. 11 Notre Dame in 2001. A capacity crowd of nearly 2,000 is expected to fill Frost Stadium on Sunday.

HERE. Fans are encouraged to arrive as early as possible before the 2 p.m. first pitch start time. UTC students are still admitted FREE and can pick up a ticket on game day at the ticket window.
Both games will be broadcasted LIVE on the ESPN platform with play-by-lay from Chris Goforth and color commentary from Abby Walker.
Chattanooga enters the contest 25-26 overall and is coming off a tough 5-4 road loss on Wednesday to the hands of Georgia State. GSU belted a walk-off homerun in the bottom of the seventh to down the Mocs.
Sophomore outfielder
Aly Walker has been on an offensive rip over the last couple weeks. She is currently on a nine-game hit streak and has recorded a hit in 13 of her last 14 games with nine of them going down as multi-hit games. Walker leads the team and ranks second in the Southern Conference with a .387 batting average for the season.
Junior outfielder
Alyssa Coppinger provided both stellar offense on Wednesday in Atlanta. She belted a pair of solo homeruns over the left field fence for her second and third homers of the season and registered her first career multi-homerun game.
In addition to her offense, Coppinger recorded yet another outfield assists by nabbing a would-be scorer at the plate with a rocket throw from center field. It's her eight outfield assist of the season, tying the program record which was set last season by now-sophomore
Hayleigh Weissenbach.
Following the doubleheader with Auburn, Chattanooga gets set to head to Greensboro, N.C., next week for the Southern Conference Tournament (May 9-12). The Mocs are still awaiting their final seeding for the championship as they look to add their 14
th SoCon Tournament crown, the most of any league member.

Auburn is coming off a tough three-game sweep at No. 9 Texas A&M last weekend where two of the three games were decided by two runs or less. The Tigers sit at No. 15 in the latest USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll. Their current RPI ranking comes in at No. 17.
A 2017 Super Regional participant, Auburn leads the SEC this season with a 1.29 ERA as a pitching staff and has limited opposing hitters to an impressive .203 batting average. Kaylee Carlson (1.23) and Makayla Martin (1.24) lead the team in ERA and have combined to toss 283.2 innings this season.
On the offensive side, Victoria Draper leads the offense with a .374 batting average and also has a team-high 52 hits. She is 37-for-42 in stolen base attempts and ranks seventh in NCAA DI in total stolen bases. She is backed by Talon Snow (.351), Courtney Shea (.310) and Casey McCrackin (.308).
