Mocs Travel to Presbyterian Sunday

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team has one road match on the schedule this weekend.  The Mocs travel to Presbyterian College on Sunday, Jan. 27.  First serve is set for 11:00 a.m. (E.S.T.) against the Blue Hose in Clinton, S.C.

"We are looking forward to this weekend, as it is the official start of college tennis throughout the country," stated head coach Chuck Merzbacher. "It gets very busy from here on out, and it certainly is the best part of year for a college tennis player."

The Mocs are looking for their first win after a tough opening week at MTSU and No. 22 Alabama.  Presbyterian's season opener at South Carolina last week was postponed to a later date.

"We saw a lot of PC this fall at our UTC Steve Baras Invite and we had very good matches with them," added Merzbacher. "Should be a competitive college tennis match for sure. We are getting healthier and that should help as we get into the meat of the season. Everyone will need to step up at one time or another, so staying ready is the key for this group."

This is the first meeting in dual action in the series between these two teams.
