The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga posted a strong opening night at the 2019 UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic.  The Mocs won all but one match against North Alabama to start the four-day tournament.

Cold and wet conditions moved the match to the indoor courts at the Strang-Voges Tennis Center at the McCallie School.  The Mocs won all but the No. 7 singles match in straight sets, led by sophomore Tomas Rodriguez's 6-2, 6-1 win over Cian Maguire at No. 1.
