TEAM
- The Mocs posted a 13-point fourth quarter comeback in a 34-33 win over The Citadel today … UTC stays in the hunt for a share of the SoCon title with a 5-2 league mark, 6-5 overall.  The Bulldogs dropped to 6-5 and 4-3 in league action. 

- The Mocs gave up a safety on their first possession … first allowed since the Wofford game on Nov. 20, 2016.

- UTC senior quarterback Nick Tiano and junior WR Bryce Nunnelly hooked up for a 27-yard TD strike in the first quarter … 12th time they have connected for a score … fourth most by a duo in school history.

- Mocs offense in the first quarter … 9 plays for 116 yards … eight rushing and 116 passing.
- Mocs offense in the second quarter … 12 plays for 10 yards … -2 rushing and eight passing.
- Mocs offense in the third quarter … 15 plays for 41 yards … 41 rushing and 0 passing. 
- Mocs offense in the fourth quarter … 24 plays for 249 yards … 101 rushing and 148 passing.

- Starting center Noah Ramsey knocked out of the game in the first quarter … right guard Cole Strange (Jr.) moved over to center for the first time in his career … Gabe Dew (Jr.) played right guard for the first significant snaps of his career. 

- The Mocs gave up a season-high four sacks in the game … came into the contest having only allowed eight all season … that was second in the SoCon and No. 7 in the FCS.

- Freshman T.J. Cammack made his first start on the defensive line … he is 17th Moc to start in their first game this season.

- Third-largest comeback in school history. The Mocs came back from 18 down in wins at Furman (10-28/36-28) on Oct. 23, 2010 and Nov. 14, 2009 in Finley Stadium against The Citadel (3-21/31-28). It's also the third-largest in the fourth quarter behind the same two contests. It was 18 at Furman, but 15, 13-28, against the Bulldogs.

- First fourth-quarter comeback since the Samford win in 2017 … Mocs trailed 21-20 in that one before winning 23-21. 

- UTC put up a season-high 268 passing yards.

- The Citadel's Dante Smith posted a 73-yard run in the third quarter down to the UTC22.  Longest run allowed by UTC this season … Mocs were able to keep The Citadel out of the end zone and only allow a FG.

- The Citadel's Ryan McCarthy's 53-yard TD catch in the second quarter was the longest allowed by UTC this season. 

- The Citadel was flagged seven times for 78 yards … most penalty yards by a Mocs opponent this season … most penalty yards by the Bulldogs this season. 

- Second one-point win in a row in the series … Mocs are 32-19-2 in the series … UTC has faced The Citadel more than any other opponent … UTC has won eight of 11 … 19-7-1 at home and 7-5 at Finley Stadium. 

- The Mocs made two redzone stops tonight … once on downs and the other a missed FG.

- The Citadel was 10/18 on third down, while the Mocs were 2/10.

- Mocs are 2-1 in games decided by three points or less this season … 3-1 in games decided by seven or less. 

- 4-1 when scoring 25+ points … 3-5 when allowing 25+ points.

- The Mocs possessed the ball for 9:57 in the first and fourth quarters amassing 365 yards of offense. In 12:02 in the middle of the contest, it was 51 yards. The Bulldogs had 326 yards in the middle of the contest bookended by 173 over the first and final 15. 

INDIVIDUAL
Marshall Cooper – Sr.-LB
- Game-high 13 tackles.
- Added a break up and a hurry.
- Seventh game with 10+ tackles. 

Elijah Ibitokun-Hanks – Sr.-RB
- 119 rushing yards and two TDs on 19 carries.
- Third straight 100-yard game.
- Six rushing TDs this season, despite missing four games.

Devonnsha Maxwell – So.-DL
- Season-high seven tackles.

Bryce Nunnelly – Jr.-WR
- Four catches for a game-high 129 yards and a score.
- Third 100-yard game of the season.
- Ninth career 100-yard game … ties Cos Dematteo (1999-02) for second-most in school history. 
- Fifth TD of the season … 12th of his career … tied Ron Whaley (1960-62) for 12th all-time at UTC.  
- Caught a pass in 24-straight games … passes Alonzo Nix for fifth-longest streak in school history.
- 137 career receptions passes Joel Bradford (2008-11) for ninth all-time at UTC.
- 2,026 career receiving yards passes Bradford for sixth all-time at UTC … sixth Moc with 2,000 career receiving yards.

Jay Person – Fr.-LB
- Career-high nine tackles. 

Tyrin Summers – Jr.-WR
- 75-yard catch and run in the first quarter was the first TD of his career.

Nick Tiano – Sr.-QB
- 11-29 passing for a season-high 268 yards, two TDs and an INT.
- Ran seven times for 54 yards and the game-winning score … sacked four times for a loss of 23 yards to finish with 31 rushing yards.
- Eighth rushing TD of the season.
- 475-826 (57.5%) passing for 595 yards and 33 TDs in his career.
- 12th 200-yard passing game ties Kenyon Earl (1991-94) for sixth all-time at UTC.
