CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs are tied for 11th through 18 holes of the East Bay Deli Classic. The Mocs shot 298 at Turtle Point Golf Club matching USC Upstate. That puts them one stroke behind host Charleston Southern in 10th and ahead of Radford, Western Carolina and No. 47 Memphis in 13th.
 
Leon Bader led the way in his first start of 2019-20. Bader shot even-par 72. He was supported by Oliver Simonsen and A.J. Lintunen's 75s and Will Porter's 76. Matt Smith turned in the drop with 77.
 
The squad's three individuals were paced by Mortiz Lammel shooting 74. Connor Nolan, originally slated to start but slid out of the lineup due to a nagging injury, shot 77, while Dominic Jones posted 79.
 
Bader made the turn at even, but a triple bogey threatened to derail his round. He quickly registered back-to-back birdies before a bogey on 14 sent him back to 2 over. He stepped to the tee on the par 4 17th and his 280 drive reached the green, 40 feet from the hole. Bader dropped the eagle putt to get back to level.
 
No. 24 Auburn has a nine-shot advantage after a 14-under 274. Augusta is second at 283. The Tigers' Jovan Rebula sits atop the player leaderboard with a 64.
