ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF
CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs worked their way up the East Bay Deli Classic leaderboard Monday with a level-par 288. It was the fourth-best round in the field and moved the Mocs into a tie for seventh with 586.
It marked a 10-stroke improvement over yesterday's opening 18.
A.J. Lintunen led the way with 3-under 69 marking six birdies on his card.
Oliver Simonsen chipped in 71 followed by
Will Porter's 73.
Matt Smith and
Leon Bader each registered 75.
Lintunen moved from the high 50s into the top 20. He's even for the event with 144 which is tied for 19th. Simonsen is two off his pace with 146, one clear of Bader. Porter is at 149, while Smith has 152.
Connor Nolan led the trio of individuals with a 2-under 70. He's matched Bader's 147.
Moritz Lammel (155) and
Dominic Jones (157) round out the Mocs scoring.
No. 24 Auburn is running away from the field. The Tigers 20-under total of 556 is 17 clear of second-place Augusta. They're led by Jovan Rebula who has an eight-stroke advantage on the player leaderboard with 14-under 130.

- Lintunen's round in the 60s is his second this season. The Mocs have nine total on the campaign with Lintunen tied for the team lead with Smith and Porter.
- Lintunen and Simonsen each put six birdies together today. Career high for Lintunen. It ties a season high for Simonsen. He's had five or more 17 times in his three seasons.
- Three par or better cards with Lintunen, Simonsen (71) and individual Connor Nolan (70). That's No. 23 in Simonsen's career, 16th for Nolan and second for Lintunen whose first two seasons were derailed by injury.
