- Chattanooga lost 80-76 in overtime at Samford Saturday evening…now 11-16 overall, 6-8 in the Southern Conference…the Bulldogs are 16-11, 6-8 in league play.
- The Mocs and Bulldogs are tied for fifth in the SoCon standings…the duo is two game(s) in front of Mercer in seventh 4-10…top six earn byes into the quarterfinal round of the Ingles Southern Conference Championship Presented by General Shale.
- Last overtime game was the epic 87-85 win in double overtime over UNCG last season on Jan. 29, 2018.
- Now 4-3 when the final margin is five points or less…the four wins rank seventh nationally…won the last four such occasions before today.
- +5 rebound margin today with 45 compared to 40 for Samford…14 on the offensive glass led to a 15-5 advantage in second chance points.
- Kevin Easley tied the freshman record for points in a season with 398…that matches Keith Parker's effort in 1977-78…Mocs played the last 4:29 of regulation and all five minutes of OT without Easley due to a lower-body injury.

- 26 points is a career best at Chattanooga…ties his best effort as a collegiate which also came on the road at Iona on Jan. 20, 2017 as a sophomore at Fairfield.
- 9-20 shooting including 8-14 from 3pt range…new career high for 3pt topping seven against Marist on Feb. 15, 2016 in his freshman campaign.
- Tied his season high with seven rebounds…also grabbed seven against Hiwassee and The Citadel.
 
Kevin Easley, Fr.-F
- 15 points of 7-12 from the field and 1-1 at the free throw stripe…reached double figures in 22 of 27 appearances.
- 10th time making seven or more field goals.
- First time in 11 games without making a 3pt…hit 24 of 55 (43.6%) over that stretch.
- Tied Ramon Vila for team-high honors on the glass with nine.
 
Thomas Smallwood, Gr.-C
- 12 points off the bench making 5-9 FG and 2-5 from three.
- Return to Birmingham where he played three seasons at UAB (2016-18) before coming to Chattanooga as a graduate transfer.
- Averaging 12.3 ppg over the last three shooting 70 percent (7-10) from beyond the arc, 66.7 percent (14-21) overall.
