Celie Hudson and a three-run, go-ahead homerun from senior
Morgan Kazerooni, the Chattanooga Mocs softball team continued its winning ways with a doubleheader sweep over Villanova and Presbyterian Friday afternoon in Madeira Beach, Fla.
Chattanooga (12-1) defeated Villanova (4-7) in game one, 2-1, behind Hudson's stellar outing. She tossed 6.1 innings of no-hit ball before a one out solo homerun snapped the junior's potential no-hitter.
UTC (13-1) downed Presbyterian (4-8-2), 6-3, in game two after Kazerooni provided late game heroics with a three run, go-ahead homerun in the bottom of the sixth to put the Mocs ahead 4-3.

Celie Hudson earned her eighth start of the season in the circle against Villanova and completed one of the best outings of her two-plus year career.
Hudson (5-1) tossed a complete game, one-hit masterpiece while allowing just one run and striking out nine. The lone hit, a solo homerun, came in the bottom of the seventh with one out, ending the bid towards her first career no-no.
She registered five strikeouts through the first three innings on her way to nine total. Of the nine, five came via the swing and four went down looking. She ended the first, third and fourth innings with a strikeout.
With the score still non-existent in the top of the fifth, senior
Halie Williamson broke through with her first homerun of the season, a solo shot to left, to put UTC ahead 1-0.
The Mocs would add an insurance run in the top of the sixth after
Emma Sturdivant and
Gracey Kruse started a two-out rally. Sturdivant's single led way to a Kruse RBI-double to the right-center gap, scoring pinch-runner
Taylor Chadwick from first base, and extending the lead to 2-0.

Presbyterian jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after a three-run top of the second inning. The Blue Hose scored the three runs on three hits and chased starting pitcher
Mariah Ramirez after 1.2 innings.
Allison Swinford (4-0) relieved Ramirez with a runner in scoring position and needed just three pitches to escape the jam. Swinford kept the door shut with 4.0 scoreless innings to give the UTC offense an opportunity to claw back from its deficit. She struck out four and surrendered just four singles while earning her fourth victory of the season.
Chattanooga pushed its first run across the board in the bottom of the third when
Sidney Swantic ripped one down the third-base line to score
Emily Coltharp from second for her first career RBI. Swantic, a switch hitter, batted from the right side during the game for the first time this season.
Back-and-forth scoreless action over the next couple innings allowed PC to take the 3-1 lead into the bottom of the sixth. Chattanooga rallied for five runs on four hits including a pair of homeruns from
Morgan Kazerooni and
Emma Sturdivant.
Kazerooni entered the game in a crucial pinch-hit situation for Coltharp with runners on first and third and one out and provided the lift the UTC offense was searching for all game lone. She stepped up with a go-ahead, three-run homerun to straight away center field to put Chattanooga ahead 4-3.
Sturdivant followed two batters later with her second homerun of the season, a two-run shot to left that extended the lead to 6-3 heading into the final frame.
Celie Hudson picked up a strike out and sat Presbyterian down in order to notch her first save of the season.
