CHATTANOOGA --- With inclement weather threatening the area this weekend, the Chattanooga Mocs softball team has altered its schedule and will now host Western Carolina for a three-game series on Thursday and Friday instead of the originally scheduled Friday/Saturday slate.
Â
Thursday will feature a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. while Friday's series finale is scheduled for a Noon start. All three games of the series will be carried LIVE on ESPN3 through ESPN.com and the ESPN App platforms.
Chattanooga (26-12, 4-5 SoCon) is coming off an 8-1 non-conference victory at Belmont on Tuesday night while Western Carolina (16-23, 4-7 SoCon) faces Winthrop on Wednesday evening ahead of the upcoming series.
WCU shocked UNCG with a two-game sweep last weekend in a rain-shortened series on the road to shake up the league standings. Chattanooga currently sits in fourth place, trailing Samford (9-3), Mercer (5-4) and UNCG (7-4).
