The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team travels to Samford for its lone match of the week. The Mocs face the Bulldogs in Birmingham, Ala., on Wednesday, April 3, at 3:00 p.m. (E.D.T.).
UTC brings an 11-10 overall record and a 2-3 mark in Southern Conference action. It is the most wins for the program since going 12-9 in 2013 and the most league victories since a 2-9 mark in 2014.
"This should be a close match at every position, doubles and singles," stated UTC head coach
Chuck Merzbacher. "Being on the road, we'll need to play as a team, every spot is going to matter."
Samford is 9-7 overall and 1-2 in SoCon action. The Bulldogs defeated UNCG 4-2 last week.
The Mocs are 13-19 all-time against Samford. Chattanooga is trying to snap a nine-match losing streak in tomorrow's match. UTC's last win in the series was a 4-3 victory on April 7, 2010, in Birmingham.
