CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team takes the short trip down I-75 to Macon, Ga., for the Brickyard Collegiate on the Brickyard Golf Club. It's the final regular season event before the Southern Conference Championships next weekend at Hilton Head's Moss Creek Golf Club.
It's a stacked field awaiting the Mocs. While No. 29 North Carolina is the highest-ranked squad in the fold, 13 of the 15 are ranked in Golfstat's top 100 including our heroes at 91.
Chattanooga is getting used to that. The last two events were riddled with ranked opponents as well. The Mocs topped seven in top 100 with the best win coming against No. 37 Tennessee.
The Brickyard Collegiate is a two-day, 54-hole event. It begins Monday morning with play continuing over 36 holes with a final 18 Tuesday. The Mocs quintet is paired on holes 5-8 with UCF, Old Dominion and ETSU in Monday's 8:30 a.m., shotgun start. Live scoring, pairings and notes are linked above.
