Softball Inks Nine During Early Signing Period

Chattanooga softball secured commitments from nine 2021 scholastic student-athletes across seven different states during the early signing period in November.

CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs softball program and head coach Frank Reed officially announced the signings of nine scholastic student-athletes to its 2021 recruiting class as part of the early signing period this November.
 
The class consists of two in-state and two Georgia signees while the remaining five will arrive on campus at UTC from different states. The full signing class list including highlights and achievements is below.
 
Tennessee (2)
Acelynn Sellers ∙ Chattanooga, Tenn. ∙ Baylor High School
  • 3x Tennessee State Champion
  • 69th ranked pitcher in 2021 class (Extra Inning Softball)
  • 47th ranked player in 2017 & 2018 (FloSoftball)
Presley Williamson ∙ Chattanooga, Tenn. ∙ Boyd Buchanan High School
  • 2A West Region Player of the Year (2018)
  • 2A West First Team at catcher (2018)
  • 3.9 GPA in the classroom
Delaware (1)
Izzy Alley ∙ Ocean View, Del. ∙ Indian River High School
  • 0.00 ERA in 2019 season at IRHS
  • Top 10 in class academic rankings
  • Honors Scholar & National Honor Society member
