GREENSBORO, N.C. --- Chattanooga dropped a pair of contests Saturday afternoon to SoCon-leading UNC Greensboro on the Spartans home field. UNCG took the first game 7-3 and capped off the day with a 9-1, five-inning victory.
 
Abi Bunt went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Zoe Wright and Raven Jones each had two hits while Jade Gainer and Annika Segedi each tallied one. Baileigh Pitts drove in a run Saturday.
 
GAME ONE: Chattanooga 3, UNC Greensboro 7
Chattanooga rallied late, picking up three runs on three hits in the opening game Saturday at UNCG Softball Stadium. The Spartans had a no-hitter going into the sixth inning before pinch hitter Abi Bunt broke it up with a single up the middle, driving in Pitts for the Mocs first run of the game.
 
In the seventh, the Mocs picked up two more runs. Jade Gainer took first on a hit by pitch to lead off the seventh. A pair of singles loaded the bases for Ava Cowart who reached on a fielding error and drove in a run to make it 7-2 in favor of the home team. Pitts plated a third run for UTC on a sac fly to right field.
 
GAME TWO: Chattanooga 1, UNC Greensboro 9/5 innings
Abi Bunt drove in the Mocs lone run in the second game Saturday on a pop up to shallow center field that fell between the defenders. Annika Segedi led off the fourth with a single to center and advanced to second on a fielding error. A ground out moved her to third and Bunt's single put the Mocs on the board, trailing 3-1.
 
The Spartans scored three in the third and added five in the fifth to secure the victory.
 
The Mocs defense in the first held UNCG in check. Two walks and a single loaded the bases with nobody out. Taylor Long struck out the next batter. Zoe Wright fielded a hard hit ball and threw home for the force out at the plate and a hit back to third ended the inning with Raven Jones tagging the base for the final out of the inning.
 
Long went three innings and struck out three.
