The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team is back in action this weekend at Alabama.  The Mocs take on the Crimson Tide on Friday, Jan. 29, in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

First serve is set for 7:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility.  The Mocs are 0-1 on the year after a season opening loss to Clemson on Jan. 16.  Alabama is 4-2 overall, including double-header wins over Samford on Jan. 16.  The Crimson Tide also hosts Tulane on Friday before their match with the Mocs.

UTC is winless in the seven-match history with Alabama that dates all the way back to 1931.  This is the fourth year in a row these two teams meet in the non-conference portion of their schedules.

Sophomore Tomas Rodriguez teamed with former Moc Niklas Gerdes for a 6-3 doubles win at No. 2 over Jeremy Gschwendtner and Riccardo Roberto in last year's match.  Gerdes scored the lone point for the Mocs with a (6-0, 6-4) win over Roberto at No. 1.

Fans can follow the action with live scoring and live video through links on the men's tennis schedule page on GoMocs.com.
