2) Details
It's another Saturday in the Southern Conference, but it's not just any Saturday in the SoCon. The Mocs are ranked No. 19 while VMI is just outside the top 25 receiving votes. The Keydets have been ranked a majority of the season. It looks like a sloppy day with the forecast currently at 68 degrees with showers on a natural grass field.

3) History
This is the 27th meeting all-time against the Keydets. The good guys lead VMI 17-8-1.
  • Games: 26 | Record: 17-8-1
  • SoCon Meetings: 24 | 16-7-1
  • In Lexington: 8-5
  • Streak: -1 | Last 5: 4-1 | 10: 7-3 | 20: 12-7-1

4) On the Road Again
Chattanooga heads back on the road. Three of the first five games are on the road and the current mark is 1-1 with a 20-0 win at North Alabama and a narrow 28-23 at SEC co-leading Kentucky.
  • The Mocs have won their last three FCS games away from home: at UNA, The Citadel (25-24 OT) & No. 11 Furman (20-18)
  • 5-3 (.625) under Rusty Wright on the FCS road
  • 33-20 (.623) over the last 12 seasons

5) Three Notes to Notice
  • Six or more tackles for loss in eight of the last 11 games. Five or more in all four this season. DE Devonnsha Maxwell has 33.0 tackles for loss which is a half behind fifth-place Nakevion Leslie's (2013-16) 33.5 and one short of Troy Boeck (1987-90) with 34 in fourth. Troy is the father of junior LB Ty Boeck. Ty declined comment on attempts to steal TFLs from D-Max this season.
  • The last time the Mocs were…1-0 in SoCon? This past Spring after defeating Wofford in February. 2-0? The following week with a 25-24 OT win at The Citadel. 1-1? 2018 with win over Samford (27-20) and loss at ETSU (14-17).
