JaNiya Stevens connected on her first collegiate goal to give the Mocs a second-half lead before UTC fell 4-1 to Furman Friday night at the Sports Complex.

Maggie Shaw fed the ball across the field to Stevens in front of the Mocs' bench. She picked up the pass and pushed down towards the corner. A quick stop and change of direction left her open for a left-footed shot from the right side of the 18-yard box. The shot lofted over the Paladins' keeper Nora Sampson into the top of the net in the 46
th minute for a 1-0 lead.

Shaw had a chance in the 73
rd minute when her shot hit off the crossbar and over the top of the net.
Samantha Shaw's shot in the final minute of play hit off the post. Chattanooga had 13 shots with nine on goal in the match.
Abbey Saddler had eight saves in the match.

Mackenzie Smith had a team-best four shots, with all four on goal.
Ao Yamada posted another multi-shot game for the Mocs with two and seven more UTC players sent the ball toward the net.

Furman's Kyndal Anderson had a pair of goals in the match including the game-tying goal in the 53
rd minute. Hayley Foster scored the game winner, hitting off the bottom of the crossbar at the 63:13 mark of the match. Farr got her third goal of the year with just less than six minutes to play.

Chattanooga falls to 4-8-2 overall and 1-3-1 in league play while the Paladins improve to 6-4-1 on the year and 2-2 against the Southern Conference.

Chattanooga will host Wofford Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Sports Complex. Prior to the match the Mocs will honor seniors
