Biography

2020-21 Junior
Played in all 11 games and made five starts...ranked second on the team in scoring with two goals and a team-best two assists...took six shots with three on goal...recorded the game-winning goal at Wofford...tied for second on the team for goals scored.

2019 Sophomore
Played in all 19 matches with four starts ... scored a team-best three goals ... had the game winner agaisnt Lipscomb ... added an assist against The Citadel for seven points, third most on the team ... had 21 shots with six on goal.

2018 Freshman
Played in 17 games as a rookie and made her first start in the Mocs' Southern Conference match against VMI ... recorded an assist against Alabama A&M for her only point as a defender ... took seven shots including a season-best four against VMI in the regular season finale ... had two shots on goal ... averaged 0.41 shots per game.

High School
Samantha is a two-time All-State player from Drehen High School in Columbia, S.C. She helped the Blue Devils to the 2015 State Championship and the 2015 and 2016 Region AAA titles. She was a three-time All-Region selection, named to the Michael Nash Tournament Team and the ODP Region Pool.
 
Her club team, South Carolina United, was three-time South Carolina state champions and the 2016 SRPL Champions. They were a Region 2 finalist in 2016 and three time winners of the Jefferson Cup Championship. South Carolina United also claimed the 2015 Disney Showcase title.
 
Samantha is a member of the Principal's Honor Roll at Drehen High School. She is a member of the Honor Society, Key Club, Yearbook Club and the LPT.
 
Personal
She was born March 16, 2000 in Columbia, S.C., and plans to major in nursing. She is the daughter of Patricia Little (Rick Mendoza) and David Shaw (Darcy Hall) and has a twin sister Maggie and two older sisters Jamie and Danielle. Maggie will join her on the Mocs' soccer team. Her sisters Jamie and Danielle played soccer at Lander University. Her mother Trish was a member of the University of South Carolina volleyball team. Her father was a member of the 1982 Kitchener Rangers of the OHL who won the Memorial Cup. He played in the NHL for the several teams from from 1982-98 and finished his career in the IHL.
