- The Chattanooga Mocs opened the 2021 Coca-Cola Zero Sugar presented by 3H Group and Springhill Suites Downtown with a 75-45 triumph over UNC Asheville…UTC is now 2-0, while the Bulldogs fall to 1-2.

- Absolutely dominant in the paint with a 46-20 advantage in points in the battle area.
- 30-point margin of victory is largest against a DI opponent since 105-67 demolishing of Samford on Jan. 11, 2020…largest in a non-conference game since 37-point victory over Alabama State, 95-58, in the 2015 Emerald Coast Classic.
- +25 rebounding margin (49-24)…UTC had more defensive rebounds (29) than the Bulldogs had total (24)…largest margin against a DI opponent since +26 (55-29) against Samford in a 78-71 victory on Jan. 24, 2018.

- Never trailed nor was the game tied after 0-0…Mocs led for 39:11 total after Silvio DeSousa's first dunk of the contest at 19:11.
- Stifling defensive effort holding UNCA to 30.2 percent shooting (16-53)…opened the campaign limiting Loyola Marymount to 38.6 percent (22:57) in the opener in Los Angeles on Tuesday…combined 38 of 110 (34.5%) effort.
- 0.2 assist/turnover ratio for UNCA today (3/13)…0.4 for opponents this season (10/25).

- Career-high (at UTC) 20 points for Darius Banks…15th career 20-point effort…8-11 from the field including 2-3 from 3pt range…made both free throw tries…added five rebounds and was a game-high +31…64th time he's reached double figures including his first three campaigns at James Madison.
- David Jean-Baptiste scored 14 today to push his career total to 1,319 which is No. 13 all-time at Chattanooga…he trails No. 12 Casey Jones '16 (1,321) by two and is also in close range of Lance Fulse's '88 1,325 in 11th. Kevin Gray '76 holds down the 10th spot with 1,385 points.
- Silvio DeSousa had his first double-digit game as a Moc with 11 points and several highlight reel dunks…he added eight boards which was one off the game-high effort of nine by KC Hankton.
- First career game in double figures for Grant Ledford with 11 off the bench…Ledford's first two seasons at Chattanooga were limited to just 123 minutes in 22 contests due to injury.
- Malachi Smith had a quiet day scoring with five points but huge impact collecting seven rebounds with six assists and three steals…assists were one off his career high…7th time as a Mocs with five or more assists (12th career)…fourth contest with three or more steals (10th career).
