Postgame Quotes vs. College of Charleston

2021 Chattanooga Mocs Men's Basketball
Game 6 – College of Charleston – Nov. 27 – McKenzie Arena
Postgame Quotes

Head Coach Lamont Paris:
Opening statement.
"They have a good team and a scrappy team. They play physical and that was a factor for us. You have to adjust to how the game is being played. We adjusted by being stagnant and not moving as much. In the end, we allowed 43 second half points and 13 second chance points; that makes it hard to win."

On the Cougars' 25-3 run in the second half.
"There were some normal plays. Normal buckets by them, normal missed shots by us. I mean we gave up pick sixes. Those were free points and there was a lot of not being strong with the ball. There were a lot of things that contributed to the run. They were scoring and we weren't."

David Jean Baptise, Gr., G

On recovering from the team's first loss.
"We have to get back in the lab and work on things. It's a game of runs. When a team spikes with momentum, we need to respond with adversity. Charleston is a good team, a well-coached team and they made a couple of tough baskets and made enough at the end of the game. This was a game we needed. We need to learn from it and respond to it. The Cougars did a good job being aggressive and having us back on our heels."

On College of Charleston's defense.
"They were aggressive on their post defense. Basketball is full of scrappiness. The team that is scrappier normally wins and the College of Charleston is really scrappy."

Silvio DeSousa, Gr., F

On his production and comfort with the team.
"I feel comfortable every single day and every practice. I try to do the little things coach asks us to do and I think that's where I get my confidence from. We just need to pay attention to the little things and that's what the game is about."

On moving forward.
"I will always tell my teammates… focus on the next thing. That's what we are going to do. Tomorrow we are going to get back at it, make sure everyone has their head up and continue to work."
