CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs beach volleyball program looks to open its home facility at the UTC Sports Complex for the second time, hosting in-state foe Carson-Newman in a doubleheader beginning at 5:00 p.m. ET.
Â
The two programs were scheduled to compete last Tuesday in the Scenic City before rain forced a postponement of the Mocs home opener. With potential rain in the forecast again tomorrow, the match is subject to change.
Â
Chattanooga (0-5) is coming off a promising two matches last week at North Alabama where the program saw its first ever game wins with the duo of
Baylee Young and
Jordan Krege going 2-0 as the top pair. UTC dropped both contests by a 4-1 count.
Â
"It's always exciting to have the opportunity to open your own home facility, especially against a quality and in-state opponent in Carson-Newman," said head coach
Darin Van Horn.
Â
"We're looking forward to carrying over momentum from last week's performance at North Alabama and anxious to do so at home."
