ABOUT CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs 3-1-1 Southern Conference record matches the five-game start to league play in 2018. UTC's best SoCon five-game mark in school history is 4-1 in the 2004 season when UTC finished with its best overall (12-5-1) and Southern Conference (7-3-1) records. Chattanooga, 4-1-1 overall, is fourth in the SoCon standings, one point behind Samford and six behind league-leader Furman. In the SoCon-only stats, UTC is third in goals allowed (4) and goals-against average (0.75) and has two shutouts against the conference. Abbey Saddler is second for GAA (0.40) and Ashton Shields is fifth (0.78). Both have a shutout against the SoCon. Overall, Chloe Arnold and Samatha Shaw each have a team-high five points with two goals and one assist. Kendra Mueller, third on the team in scoring, has two goals, both game winners.

SOUTHERN CONFERENCE ACCOLADES
MUELLER NAMED SOCON PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kendra Mueller was named the SoCon Offensive Player of the Week after booting home two game winners. The redshirt freshman entered the starting lineup last week. She took just two shots in the two games and each one led to a goal.

SHIELDS NAMED SOCON DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Junior Ashton Shields was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week after earning a shutout with six saves against league-favorite Samford. The Mocs and Bulldogs battled to a 0-0 draw in the SoCon-opener for both teams.

ARNOLD NAMED SOCON PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Senior Chloe Arnold scored the game winner against North Alabama in the season-opener on a first-half penalty kick. It is the first POTW honor for the senior who was the 2017 SoCon Freshman of the Year, the first-ever for UTC.
