ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF
ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga.---
A.J. Lintunen claimed his second win of the season (and career) leading the Chattanooga Mocs to a third-place finish at the Sea Palms Invitational. Lintunen's 1-over par 72 led a collective 301 for the final 18.
Lintunen's 72 tied for the low round of the day as the Sea Palms Resort played even tougher than yesterday. His 2-under 211 total was the lone 54-hole score at par or better beating Appalachian State's Dylan Lukes by three shots with teammate
Connor Nolan lurking in a tie for third at 215.
The duo was joined in the top 10 by
Paul Conroy who tied for sixth with 216.
Oliver Simonsen's final 18 was a strong 73 effort to give him 223.
Leon Bader's 80 completed the counting scores with
Gabe Hunter's 81 as the drop.
Jacksonville State won the team title by three over App State. The Gamecocks and Mountaineers each shot 295 today with JSU's 870 as the low 54-hole number.
The Mocs return to action March 12-14 at the Linger Longer Invitational on the Great Waters Course in Eatonton, Ga.
