The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team is on the road this weekend at UNCG. The Mocs close out the 2021 Southern Conference season with a 12:00 p.m. (E.D.T.) match against the Spartans on Saturday, April 17, in Greensboro, N.C.
Chattanooga is 7-11 overall and 2-4 in SoCon dual matches. The Mocs have missed out on the four-team SoCon Tournament field, but have a chance to finish the season on a high note. UNCG brings a 3-10 overall record that includes a 1-5 mark in league play.

"We are looking forward to our final SoCon match with UNCG," stated UTC head coach
Chuck Merzbacher. "Although we fell just short of the top four, we want to finish as high as we can. Also, many of our players have an opportunity this weekend to grab some SoCon awards with a good finish."
UTC is 11-13 all-time against the Spartans, including a 4-3 win in their last meeting on April 13, 2019, in Greensboro. Prior to that, UNCG had won five-straight in the series. The Mocs are 4-7 all-time on the road.
Chattanooga still has one more non-conference match on the schedule. They host Covenant College on Tuesday, April 20, for Senior Day at the UTC Tennis Center.
