JACKSONVILLE, Ala. --- The Chattanooga Mocs beach volleyball program rolled to its third-straight victory behind a pair of convincing wins over UT Martin (4-1) and EKU (5-0) on the final day of the inaugural "OVC Weekend" held at Jacksonville State in Jacksonville, Alabama on Sunday afternoon.  
 
In its first full year as a program, Chattanooga improves to 3-1 in OVC play following the sweep and 4-7 overall. UT Martin dropped to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in league action while EKU fell to 0-4 overall and in the conference.
 
The No. 1 pairing of Baylee Young and Jordan Krege extended their winning streak to eight matches after earning victories against the top duos from UTM and EKU. The duo earned a tight 2-1 (16-21, 21-14, 15-13) victory in the first match of the day before cruising to a 2-0 (victory in the night cap.

In addition to the No. 1 pairing, the Mocs went undefeated on the day in the No. 4 and No. 5 groupings. The No. 4 duo of Hanley Lomax and Madelina Myers-Osband picked up a 2-1 (21-17, 13-21, 15-8) victory against UTM before rolling to a 2-0 (21-13, 21-9) win in the final match against EKU.

Abby Ashway and Makenzie Jordan played as the No. 5 pair and earned a 2-0 (21-11, 22-20) win against the Skyhawks before pulling out a 2-1 (21-18, 18-21, 15-11) decision to close things out against the Colonels. UTC's No. 3 pair of Victoria Cerino and Paige Gallentine went 1-1 on the day, falling in a close 2-0 (21-19, 21-17) match to UTM ahead of rallying for a 2-1 (21-12, 23-25, 15-11) win against EKU's third pairing. 
 
The Mocs return home for the final home matches of the season on Thursday, April 22 to host Jacksonville State in a crucial OVC doubleheader beginning at 4:00 p.m. ET. The matches will be held at the UTC Sports Complex sand courts.
