CHATTANOOGA — Playing as the No. 2 seed, the Chattanooga Mocs beach volleyball team gets set for the inaugural Ohio Valley Conference Championship tomorrow through Saturday in Martin, Tenn., hosted by UT Martin.
Chattanooga (8-9, 7-3) finished the regular season in second place of the OVC standings, two games back of Morehead State, and will receive a first round BYE in this weekend's tournament. UTC will face the winner of No. 3 UT Martin and No. 4 EKU on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Darin Van Horn, who along with assistant coach
Juliana Yensho, earned OVC Co-Coaching Staff of the Year award laurels.
"We are going to enjoy making more history and embracing the moment."
The No. 1 pair of
Baylee Young and
Jordan Krege and No. 2 pairing of
Gylian Finch and
Bailey Steger recently earned All-OVC First and Second Team honors, respectively. The two pairings have combined to 14-4 record against OVC teams when playing in their respective slots.
No. 1 Morehead State earned the 2021 OVC regular season title behind a 9-1 mark in league action. The Eagles defeated the Mocs twice this season by a slim 3-2 margin. MSU's lone loss of the season came last weekend against Austin Peay.
Chattanooga split the season matchup with No. 3 UT Martin and swept both meetings against No. 6 EKU. UTC defeated UTM 4-1 in the first "OVC Weekend" at Jacksonville State before falling to the Skyhawks 5-0 in last weekend's OVC gathering at EKU.
