Soccer Countdown - 27 Days with Kendra Mueller

After suffering a season-ending injury in her freshman campaign, Kendra Mueller returned to the pitch in 2020 (that turned into spring 2021) and it was noticed.

She scored back-to-back game winning goals against ETSU and Western Carolina, earned Athlete of the Week and was named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team. In 10 games over two seasons, she has three goals on seven shots.

While a number does not define you as a player, Kendra's two favorite numbers are two and seven. She combined the pair to get 27.

Her pregame playlists includes mainly oldies and some new songs that she thinks can truly get her focused.

She started playing soccer around the age of four in Arizona and loves basketball and volleyball too.

"Soccer is the one sport that gives me all of the main characteristics I like combined into one sport, which is running and defense. Volleyball I loved but did not get the running aspect as with basketball. They were definitely close firsts for me."

This summer she has mostly been working. She works in a restaurant and as a nanny. Her two vacations were at the beach once and then to Minnesota.
