KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --- The ninth-seeded doubles team of Tomas Rodriguez and Peyton Gatti earned a tough 4-6, 6-4 [10-7] comeback win over Oscar Cutting and David Stevenson of Memphis, the fifth-ranked doubles team in the country, to advance to the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Doubles Championship on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Knoxville, Tenn.
                                                                                                                                      
The duo gets set for a title match against Kentucky's JJ Mercer and Joshua Lapadat, also a nine seed, tomorrow at 10 AM ET. Rodriguez and Gatti became the first UTC pair to advance to the Main Doubles Round of 4 in program history yesterday before building on the historic achievement today.
 
In addition, Jacob Marshall and Ryan Mudre earned a berth into the doubles Consolation Championship match following yesterday's action. The team saw its deep run come to a second-place finish after an 8-1 loss to Tennessee's Angel Diaz and Shunsuke Mitsui.
 
In the singles Consolation Quarterfinal Round, Mudre and Jordan McClure each suffered defeats early on Sunday. Mudre dropped a 6-4, 6-0 decision to Indiana's Vikash Singh while McClure fell 6-2, 6-3 to MTSU's Pavel Motl, the 16 seed.
