Cole Strange is the fourth Chattanooga Mocs student-athlete to make the prestigious Walter Camp FCS All-America Team.

CHATTANOOGA---Senior offensive lineman Cole Strange is a bit busy these days. He's working out and preparing for the Reese's Senior Bowl to start his path to 2022 NFL Draft Weekend. In the weeks following the completion of the 2021 campaign, he's piled on honor after honor with another big one released on Wednesday.

Strange is on the prestigious Walter Camp Foundation FCS All-America Team. The squad is one single team voted by FCS team communication leaders from across the nation. He and ETSU running back Quay Holmes are the lone representatives from the Southern Conference.

Cole is the first Moc since Isaiah Mack in 2018 to claim the honor. He is the fourth all-time and fifth mention. The full list of Mocs Walter Camp All-Americans:

It's the sixth time Strange was named on a first team for this past season. The various teams can be found at these links: AFCA, HERO Sports, Phil Steele and Stat Perform with Devonnsha Maxwell, Brandon Dowdell, Ailym Ford and KeShawn Toney also garnering national honors.

Walter Camp, "The Father of American football," first selected an All-America team in 1889. Camp – a former Yale University athlete and football coach – is also credited with developing play from scrimmage, set plays, the numerical assessment of goals and tries and the restriction of play to eleven men per side.

The Walter Camp Football Foundation – a New Haven-based all-volunteer group – was founded in 1967 to perpetuate the ideals of Camp and to continue the tradition of selecting annually an All-America team.  Visit www.waltercamp.org for more information.
