GENERAL
- The Chattanooga Mocs rolled to a 71-60 win against visiting Wofford Tuesday evening…Mocs are now 17-4, 7-1 in the Southern Conference…the Terriers move to 12-9, 4-5 in the league.
- Zero ties and just one lead change all night…0-0 for 36 seconds and then Wofford led for 9:03 before a Malachi Smith 3pt put the Mocs up by two never looking back over the final 30:21.
- Chattanooga remains atop the SoCon standings at 7-1…Furman is right on our heels at 7-2…Mercer (5-3) is in third with UNCG (4-4) in fourth with the likes of Wofford, VMI & ETSU a half-game back tied for fifth at 4-5.
- Won five of last seven meetings with three of the five coming on the road…12-8 in last 20…more on the series below.
- 7-1 in the SoCon…10th time winning seven of first eight league games (1982-83, 1986-87, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 2007-08, 2010-11, 2014-15, 2015-16)…best start all-time was 10-0 in 1981-82 finishing the year at 15-1 which was matched the next season as well….1984-85 and 1996-97 teams opened 9-0 and 2013-14 at 8-0 are the only other squads to be undefeated through eight league games.
- Held Wofford to a season-low 33.9 percent shooting (20-59)…also limited the Terriers to 26.5 percent (9-34) from long range.
- 16 assists on 26 made shots for the Mocs…just nine turnovers.
- Gave up 12 offensive rebounds to Wofford but just 11 second chance points were converted.

- 40-32 all-time in Game 21…last year's 21st matchup was a 70-66 victory at home over The Citadel on Feb. 13.
- 15-6 all-time on Jan. 26…7-5 in SoCon action…9-1 at home…1-1 against Wofford with the 2019 loss (80-69) being the last game on this date in program history.
