CHATTANOOGA---The 9th-ranked Chattanooga Mocs took a week off and are now recharged and ready for a 6-game Southern Conference dash to the regular season finish. The squad is 4-1 overall, 2-0 in league play currently sitting in third, a half-game behind Mercer and Samford at 3-0 each.
Â

Â
What's the expectation coming off a bye week?
Â
"Just looking to see if some of the things we worked on and corrected during the bye week show up," Coach
Rusty Wright explained. "That's the biggest thing. We worked on some things trying to make ourselves better, and we'll see if that paid off for us."
Â
It's Salute to Heroes Week in Chattanooga. All active military, first responders, doctors and nurses get a free general admission ticket to the contest. Those tickets need to be picked up at the box office with identification. Additional tickets are available to family members at the discounted price of $12.
Â
Coach Wright joins "Voice of the Mocs" Jim Reynolds on Chat with the Mocs tonight at Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux on Broad Street in Chattanooga's Aquarium District. It can be listened to from 7-8 p.m., on 96.1 FM/1070 AM in the Scenic City area or

Running back

- 4-1 start is the best since 2018 which was also 4-1. 5th game both seasons was in Johnson City with the 2018 being a 17-14 loss. A win would provide the best start since 2016 (6-0).
- 2-0 in SoCon for the first time since the abbreviated spring 2021 campaign (3-0). Opened 2-0 in three of Coach Rusty Wright's four seasons. Both the prior times led to 3-0.
