CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Mocs' softball team will host the second of their three home tournaments this weekend with the Frost Classic. The Mocs will bring Northern and Southern Illinois, Butler and Eastern Kentucky to the Scenic City. Â
The Mocs (5-5) will begin action with Southern Illinois (4-4) at 3 p.m. and round out day one with Northern Illinois (1-3) at 5:30. UTC will face Butler (7-4) at 12:30 on Saturday before Eastern Kentucky (1-9) at 3 p.m. The Mocs complete the nine-game homestand with a rematch against EKU on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
Tournament passes are available for purchase for $25 (

POSTGAME AUTOGRAPHS
After every home game this season, select student-athletes will be available for postgame autographs behind the Chattanooga dugout. On Friday and Saturday, they will be available after the team's second game of each day. Sunday they will be available post game.

RECAPPING LAST WEEKEND
UTC went 4-2 last weekend with two wins over SIUE and a win against Radford and Purdue Fort Wayne. The Mocs hit .293 with
Kailey Snell and
Olivia Lipari leading the way with eight hits each. In the circle UTC held a 1.67 ERA led by
Brooke Parrott who tossed 19 innings allowing just two runs. The Mocs logged 13 extra-base hits with nine doubles, a triple and three home runs.
BROOKE PARROTT'S PERFECTION
Junior
Brooke Parrott was dominant last weekend. In two starts, she had two complete games, racking up two wins and allowing just two runs on five hits. On Saturday vs. Radford, Parrott tossed the team's fifth perfect game in program history on just 78 pitches (56 strikes). In addition to the two strong starts, Parrott made two relief appearances. She recorded two saves after pitching a combined five shutout innings.

OLIVIA LIPARI'S DEBUT
Southern Illinois, Northern Illinois, Butler and Eastern Kentucky combine to hold a 13-20 record this season with Butler being the only team in the tournament with a winning record. Southern Illinois and UTC are both .500.
Butler is 7-4, while Northern Illinois has just played one weekend this season and sits at 1-3.
Eastern Kentucky is 1-9 and has been outscored 65-11. The Colonels first six games were against Power-5 opponents. EKU's lone win came against Nicholls 3-2 last weekend. The Colonels were picked fifth in the ASUN Preseason Coaches' Poll after finishing 2021 with a 35-17 overall record and going 22-9 in the OVC.

vs. Southern Illinois – SIU leads 1-0. Last met Feb. 8, 2013, SIU won 6-3.
vs. Northern Illinois – Series tied 1-1. Last met March 15, 2005, UTC won 6-3.
