Postgame Quotes
Lamont Paris, Head Coach
Opening statement.
"I thought the energy in the game and our attention to detail and our defensive mojo to start the game was incredible. And that carried us throughout the game. Got us off to a really good start. I thought it was a really clean half for us defensively. They have a good team. They have fighters, they're relentless, they never stop. They have a lot of guys who can make shots and plays. We knew they were going to keep coming at us. They went on a run. Our guys are an older, veteran club, did a good job with not panicking. And then, they just grinded it back out and made their own plays. So, I was really happy with the performance."

On rebounding.
"We did a pretty good job overall blocking out. It's one of those things that never goes noticed until it hurts you. As a general rule, that guy Hayden Brown is a heck of a player. Incredible motor. Nose for the ball. And he's tough and gritty enough, and doesn't mind rolling his sleeves up and getting after it. That's why he gets a lot of rebounds. The best way to get that stopped is to have a body on a body. And then that work becomes more work. I thought we did a good job with that throughout the game. Meeting force with force. We did a really good job. It was by committee, not just one guy."

David Jean-Baptiste, Gr., G
On Chattanooga sophomore guard Tada Stricklen.
"He brings tremendous effort from a defensive standpoint. He does a great job bringing that pressure against other teams. Going against him in practice makes us all better. He does a great job. He's growing more as a player both offensively and defensively so."
Â
On adjustments for Sunday's semifinal game.
"I just think that, as far as shooting, that's the only thing we really can't control. We can't force ourselves to make that shot. As long as those shots are good looks, the team does a great job with getting the ball to each other. Some games they go in, some games they don't. But as long as we control what we can control, we'll live with the results."
Â
KC Hankton, Jr., F
On how he felt being able to contribute.
"It feels good having to come out with a win, of course. I just try to stay ready at all times. It's March, so give everything you got because if not, your season can come to an end, so you just leave it all out there on the floor."
