MURFREESBORO – The Chattanooga Mocs' softball team will travel to Murfreesboro, Tenn. for the MTSU Invitational on Thursday, March 10 and Friday the 11^th. The tournament was originally scheduled for this weekend but has been moved up due to cold temperatures and rain this weekend.

The Mocs (9-10) will begin action with Northern Iowa (6-8) at 11 a.m. (EST) on Thursday and will round out their day one schedule with Illinois State (6-12) at 3 p.m. UTC concludes the two-day tournament with UNI at 10 a.m. on Friday followed by a meeting with MTSU (9-12) at 2 p.m.

CHATTANOOGA NOTES | FULL
A MONTH INTO THE SEASON
Chattanooga sits at 9-10 after the first four weeks of the season. The Mocs have four players hitting over .300 led by Gracey Kruse hitting .349. Olivia Lipari (.305), Liz Rodebaugh (.304) and Emily Coltharp (.304) also hold above a .300 average (Players who have played in 75% of games qualify).

KRUSE'S CONSISTENCY
Kruse leads eligible players with a .349 batting average. She has registered a hit in 11 of the team's 19 games and has four multi-hit games. 33% of her hits have gone for extra bases to accumulate to a .465 slugging percentage. Kruse currently sits seventh in the Southern Conference in batting average.

WALK-OFF WINS
Chattanooga has two walk-off wins this season. The first win in walk-off fashion was the first win at home as Kailey Snell ripped a double in the seventh to give the Mocs a 3-2 win over SIUE. Last weekend at the Jane B. Moore Invitational, hosted by Auburn, Acelynn Sellers hit a single through the left side to score Adison Keylon from third for the Mocs' eighth win of the season and second walk-off win of the year.

vs. UNI – UTC leads 2-0. Last met Feb. 26, 2011, UTC won 10-3
vs. ISU – ISU leads 1-0. Last met Feb. 14, 2009, ISU won 8-2.
vs. MTSU – UTC leads 19-2. Last met April 6, 2016, UTC won 8-5.
