Softball Concludes Homestand with ETSU This Weekend

Mocs and Bucs play three-game series beginning Saturday at 1 p.m.

CHATTANOOGA – The Chattanooga Mocs' softball team will continue league play this weekend as they welcome in-state rival ETSU to Frost Stadium for a three-game series beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 2 at 1 p.m.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS GAME
Saturday's contest will be Chattanooga's mental health awareness game. Fans are encouraged to join the Mocs' student-athletes in wearing green. UTC will be giving out green ribbons while supplies last.

LAST WEEKEND'S SOCON START
Chattanooga began league action with a series win over the Furman Paladins at Frost Stadium last weekend. The Mocs hit .289 throughout the weekend, led by Emily Coltharp who hit .500 with three runs scored and three stolen bases.

ACELYNN SELLERS - THE RBI LEADER
Freshman first basemen, Acelynn Sellers hit .455 last weekend and drove in a team-high six runs. She also scored five times, netting an .818 slugging percentage with a double and a home run. She leads the team with eight multi-RBI games and 22 this season.

ETSU AND CHATTANOOGA
One of the biggest rivalries in the Southern Conference will wrap up another year of competition this weekend. The Mocs and the Bucs will square off at Frost Stadium Saturday and Sunday and will also battle on the tennis court in Johnson City on Sunday afternoon. This season, Chattanooga is 6-3 across all sports.

Chattanooga leads the all-time series 23-10.
