Jacksonville, Ala. -- Chattanooga's beach volleyball team won two matches against Jacksonville State in Jacksonville, Ala. on Wednesday afternoon, 4-1, 3-2.
With the two wins, the Mocs improved to 13-11 with one week remaining in the regular season. The Gamecocks dropped to 1-17.

In the first dual,
Victoria Cerino and
Madi Morris got the Mocs on the board with a straight set, 21-12, 21-15 victory at No. 4. After dropping the first set, 20-22,
Joy Courtright and
Julia Davis came from behind in sets two and three, winning 21-9, 15-13 to put the Mocs up 2-0.

After JSU got a point at the top spot, winning the third set, 20-18,
Paige Gallentine and
Neva Clark completed a sweep (21-14, 21-10) at No. 2 to clinch the dual.
Hanley Lomax and
Bailey Steger (No. 3) gave the Mocs the 4-1 win with a 15-11 third-set victory. Â

In the second dual, the Mocs got off to another 2-0 start with a straight set, 21-17, 21-12 win at No. 5 from Davis and Courtright, followed by a come-from-behind 11-21, 21-16, 15-8 win from Cerino and Morris at the fours. For the second straight contest, Clark and Gallentine secured the dual for UTC with a straight set win at No. 2.

The Gamecocks won the final two matches, with a victory at No. 1 and No. 4.

The Mocs are back in action next weekend in Clarksville, Tenn. to round out the regular season at OVC Weekend at Austin Peay on April 22-23.
