CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team is set to wrap up the 2022 regular season when it hosts Southern Conference foe UNCG on Saturday morning at the UTC Tennis Center. First serve is slated for 11 a.m. ET.
The match will feature 'Senior Day' recognition ahead of the start. UTC's seniors who will be recognized include
Kaisei Kuroki,
Jacob Marshall,
Bo Nash and
Tomas Rodriguez.
Chattanooga enters the weekend at 6-15 overall and an even 3-3 in SoCon play. The Mocs secured a 6-1 non-conference victory over Austin Peay at home on Tuesday.
Doubles play has been strong for UTC over the past few weeks as the duo of
Simon Labbe and
Jordan McClure have posted victories in five of their last six matchups. In addition,
Kerim Hyatt and
Kaisei Kuroki have won four of their last five after seeing a four-match win streak snapped on Tuesday.
UNCG comes into Saturday carrying a 6-14 overall mark and similar 3-3 tally inside league play. The Spartans have dropped five of their last six matches with three of them against SoCon opponents. Most recently, UNCG dropped a 4-2 decision at home against in-state foe Elon on Thursday.
