CHATTANOOGA – The Chattanooga Mocs' softball team returns home after a few weeks away from the friendly confines of Jim Frost Stadium. The Mocs host the visiting Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles on Tuesday, April 19. First pitch is slated for 5:30 p.m. Following Tuesday's contest, Chattanooga will head to Auburn, Ala. for a 5 p.m. EST matchup with the 19
th-ranked Auburn Tigers.
The Golden Eagles are 26-14 this season. The Mocs are 21-18. Both teams were swept in their last conference series.
BASKETBALL HEADLINES FIRST PITCHES
Head Coach
Shawn Poppie as well as graduate guard David Jean-Baptiste will showcase their softball skills on Tuesday night, throwing out the ceremonial first pitches prior to the game.

Tuesday is Taco Tuesday at the ballpark. Tacos will be on sale at the concession stand.

CHATTANOOGA'S SEASON TO DATE
Chattanooga enters the week 21-18 and 5-4 in Southern Conference action. The Mocs are coming off of an off weekend after suffering a sweep to league-leading UNCG two weeks ago. Offensively, the Mocs are led by
Emily Coltharp, who is hitting .395, which also leads the league. Chattanooga has hit 35 home runs as a team, led by
Kaili Phillips (8) and
Olivia Lipari (7). The duo has combined for 43% of the Mocs' long balls. In the circle,
Brooke Parrott paces the squad with a 2.45 ERA. She holds a 9-4 record with six complete games in 15 starts.
Hannah Wood has shined in relief, holding a 2.68 ERA with starts and 12 relief appearances.
SACRIFICE YOURSELF
Chattanooga has hit 14 sac flies this season. Liz Rodebuagh has more than a third of them with five. She is the eighth player in program history with five sac flies in a single season and is tied for third in program history. The most in a single season by a Moc is eight - Keri Meigs in 1999.
STOLEN BASES
UTC has stolen 46 bases this season in 53 attempts. Coltharp leads the team with 18.
Kailey Snell is second with eight and
Gracey Kruse has seven. The 46 stolen bases are the Most for the team since they stole 59 in 2011.
SERIES HISTORY
Chattanooga leads the all-time series 16-11.
