Hattiesburg, Miss. – Chattanooga's Beach Volleyball team dropped the first contest on Saturday morning to Spring Hill, 4-1 before sweeping Huntingdon 5-0 to wrap up play at the Southern Miss Beach Invitational in Hattiesburg, Miss.
 
Chattanooga moved to 11-7 after the two matches. The Mocs return to the sand for a pair of midweek matches on Tuesday, April 5 at Jacksonville State.  
 
In the first match, Paige Gallentine and Neva Clark at the No. 2 pair was the duo that picked up a win, a three-set 20-22, 21-9, 15-12 victory.
 
Against Huntingdon, Madi Morris and Julia Davis began the match with a straight-set 21-7, 21-12 win at No. 5. The Mocs took a 2-0 lead as Joy Courtright and Victoria Cerino won 23-21, 23-8.
 
The straight-set victories continued at the top three spots as Gallentine and Clark didn't allow their opponent to get to 10 points with a 21-7, 21-9 win. Baylee Young and Gylian Finch at No. 1 (21-13, 21-11) and Hanley Lomax and Bailey Steger (21-8, 21-13) secured the sweep.
