Weston Wichman

Weston Wichman and the Chattanooga Mocs start a 4-match homestand this weekend hosting Gardner-Webb and Campbell.

NOTES | STATS

CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs are back on the Maclellan Gym mat this weekend…and the one to follow! Friday's bout with Gardner-Webb starts a 4-match sprint to the finish of the dual season, all at home.

"It's nice that we get to sleep in our beds, and that we have all of the little things in our corner," Coach Kyle Ruschell began. "Just fewer variables like travel and all that type of stuff.

"It's also a great opportunity to finish strong in front of our fans."

This weekend it's the Bulldogs and Southern Conference co-leader Campbell. The Mocs and Gardner-Webb square off Friday at 7 p.m., while the Camels come to the Scenic City Sunday for a 2 p.m., matinee.

The key for this weekend is to start the push to the postseason putting last week's performance in the rearview mirror.

"For me, it's less about our opponents at this point and more about how we're going to go out there and fight," Ruschell said matter-of-factly. "We have to make a big turnaround from what happened last weekend. We have to show that we want to be out there, and we want to make it a fight and impose our will on our opponents.

"It's about getting on track and peaking at the right time and have our guys ready to wrestle their best on March 4 (SoCon Championships)."

Both matches feature on ESPN+ with live scoring available @UTCWrestling on Twitter and Track scoring via GoMocs.com's wrestling schedule page.
