CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team is back in action this coming week at the Tiger Invitational presented by Jason Dufner. The 3-day, 54-hole event begins Sunday, March 5, and ends on Tuesday, March 7.

Coach Blaine Woodruff's 5-man lineup is set through another competitive qualifying stretch. It remains intact from the spring start at Sawgrass with Samuel Espinosa, Paul Conroy, John Houk, Braedon Wear and Garrett Engle headed to the Grand National Course on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.

"Really excited to head down to Auburn for a great event and great opportunity," Woodruff began. "We've had a nice break since the Hayt, and I'm extremely proud of how efficient and disciplined our guys have been in practice. We've done the hard work, now it's about going out and competing with an edge. Our guys are ready."

Keep an eye on…
  • A win in the Tiger would be No. 3 on the season for the Mocs. The last time the program won three times in the same season? 2008-09 opening with wins in the Scenic City Invite and Carpet Capital Collegiate and starting the postseason at the Southern Conference Championships.
  • The school record for wins in a season? 5 in 2007-08: Coca-Cola Duke Classic, Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate, Furman Intercollegiate, Bank of America Intercollegiate & SoCon Championships.
  • Staying with the winning theme…if one of the four Mocs not named Paul Conroy earn medalist honors this weekend, it will mark the first time since 2010-11 that two different Mocs claim tourney wins in team events. The last duo was Chris Robb in his second career start at the 2010 Springhill Suites Collegiate and PGA Tour pro Stephan Jaeger at the LSU National Invitational.
