ABOUT CHATTANOOGA
Chattanooga enters the weekend with a 15-6 overall record and a 5-1 mark in SoCon play which marks its best league record since 1989. The 15 wins overall are the most under head coach
Chuck Merzbacher and the most in a season since 2005 (18).
The Mocs are coming off a pair of losses last week including their first SoCon defeat last Saturday at Samford, who sits beside UTC atop the league standings at 5-1 with one match remaining. If both teams were to win on Saturday (SAM at MER), Samford would head into next week's tournament as the top seed. If UTC were to win and Samford drop its contest, UTC will claim the top spot on the bracket next week.
ABOUT UNCG
UNCG is looking for its first league win of the season and heads into Saturday's match carrying a 4-20 overall record and an 0-6 mark inside conference play. The Spartans have dropped each of its last 11 matches including a pair of non-conference tilts at Davidson and Elon last week.
