MOREHEAD, Ky. --- The Chattanooga Mocs beach volleyball team earned a doubleheader sweep during the opening day of the "OVC Weekend at Morehead State" event on Friday in Morehead, Ky., defeating league opponents Lindenwood and Eastern Illinois, 5-0 and 4-1, respectively.
Following the pair of wins, Chattanooga improves to 16-12 overall on the season and 6-2 inside OVC play. The Mocs remain in second place in the league standings, two matches back of leader UT Martin (8-0), with two league matches remaining tomorrow.
Chattanooga opened the day with a clean 5-0 sweep over Lindenwood before closing out the day with a 4-1 win over Eastern Illinois. UTC completed season sweeps over both of their opponents on Friday after earning wins earlier in the season at home.

Chattanooga (16-12, 6-2 OVC) closes out play at the "OVC Weekend at Morehead State" event tomorrow with a 10 a.m. ET match against Tennessee Tech and a 6 p.m. ET showdown against host Morehead State.
