Men's Golf Well-Represented at Tennessee Amateur

CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs past and present are well represented in this week's Tennessee Amateur. The event takes place Tuesday-Friday at Chattanooga Golf & Country Club.

The five currently on the squad that are ready to tackle this year's field are Tennessee natives Dalton Chuba, Nick Etherton, John Houk, Carson Johnson and Braedon Wear. The alums include Derek Rende, Brendon Wilson, Gabe Hunter and Andrew Weathers. One additional notable is team doctor Hunter Garrett. He is the club champion at CGCC.

The last Mocs to win the event was Wes Gosselin in 2016 at Blackthorn Club. The last time it was held at Chattanooga Golf & Country Club was 2013 when newly graduated and reigning U.S. Amateur Champion Steven Fox claimed the title. Rende was the 2008 Champion prior to the start of his junior campaign with the Mocs.

Play begins at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday morning starting on holes 1 and 10, with the afternoon beginning at 12:20 p.m.
