CHATTANOOGA (October 21, 2024) --- With final numbers now official, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's annual Mocs Give Day was yet another record-setting success for the UTC Athletics Department. The fifth edition of the one-day giving marathon was held back on October 1.
 
The staggering and successful numbers in regard to UTC Athletics include hefty year-over-year increases including records set in total dollars raised ($1,731,772.12), number of all-in donors (880) and more. A quick look at the impressive final tallies:

"I am always so appreciative for our involved alumni, grateful donors and staff's hard work to make Mocs Give Day such a success each year," Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletic Mark Wharton stated. "This year is no different. The outpouring generosity and support we received will greatly enhance the student-athlete experience at UTC."
 
The Mocs flew past their internal goal of $225,000 in cash and commitments to the Annual Fund with the $445,219.22 total also marking a new record. The Annual Fund saw 536 total donors which is second-most on record, trailing closely behind last year's record of 555.
 
"Ryan Jones [Senior Associate Athletics Director] and his fundraising staff deserve a ton of credit for the Mocs Give Day success," Wharton added. "Their strategic planning and collaborations with our external units lead one of the strongest efforts on campus."
 
As a campus, UTC raised nearly $2.9 million ($2,899,459.06) in total dollars which was the direct result of 2,201 overall donors including 688 who were first-time donors. Athletics accounted for roughly 60% (59.7%) of the total dollars and 40% (39.9%) of the overall donors.
