TEAM
- This marked just the second-ever meeting between Chattanooga and NC Central.
- The series now stands at 2-0 in favor of the Mocs.
- This was UTC's first game playing in Durham.
- The other matchup between UTC and NCCU came last season on January 3, 2024 (UTC won 65-59).
- The Mocs scored a season-high 75 points in the win. It's the team's highest point total in a game since scoring 84 at Wofford last season on March 2, 2024.
- UTC shot at a 30-for-51 clip (58.8 percent) from the floor as well as going 9-for-15 (60 percent) from three, both season-highs for the squad.
- The Mocs forced 24 turnovers out of the Eagles, keeping up with the team's season-long average of 24.0 turnovers forced/game this year.
- 19 assists by the Mocs marks a season-high for the team. The last time the Mocs finished with that many assists came in last season's season-opener against King, with UTC also finishing with 19.
- The Mocs out-rebounded the Eagles 37-31.
- 33 of UTC's 75 points (44 percent) came from off the bench.
- Chattanooga out-scored NC Central in the paint 42-12.
- NC Central started the game 0-for-12 from the floor.
- The Eagles ended the first quarter 2-for-16 from the floor (12.5 percent).
- NC Central was held to only one assist in the game. It is presumably the fewest assists allowed by the Mocs in a single game ever.
- NCCU scored only six points in the first quarter, the fewest points allowed in a first quarter for the Mocs since only allowing 2 to Tennessee Tech last season (Nov. 15, 2023).
