ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF
PALM DESERT, Calif.---The 24th-ranked Chattanooga Mocs head west to the California oasis that is PGA West. The Mocs tee off Monday in the Prestige against an elite 24-team field.
Chattanooga is one of five top 25 teams in the field led by No. 5-Washington and followed by Oregon (18), Texas Tech (19), the Mocs and Duke (25). There are six more in the top 50 (28-Baylor, 31-UCLA, 38-SMU, 39-Northwestern, 42-Loyola Marymount, 48-Louisville).
Braedon Wear qualified for the event by virtue of his runner-up finish at the Battle at Briar's Creek.

Ward Harris joined him via UTC Q-School.
"Really excited about the opportunity we have ahead of us this week," Coach
Blaine Woodruff shared. "It's a great field on a great golf course that demands discipline and execution. It was the most intense qualifier we've had top to bottom to get here, so I know our guys are competition ready.
"We are excited to get to compete our tails off and see what happens."
The 3-day, 54-hole event opens Monday on the Norman Course at 9:45 a.m., Eastern time. The Mocs are paired with the fifth-ranked Huskies and Duke off the first hole.

- Third runner-up finish in a row for the team after back-to-back wins to open the season. 64-3-0 head-to-head record through five events.
- Ranked No. 24 in NCAA Ratings. Top 100 Individuals: Houk (61), Conroy (88) & Espinosa (95).
- Three straight individual runner-up finishes: Espinosa (Furman/Conroy win), Houk (Steelwood) & Wear (Briar's Creek). Eight top 5s: Espinosa (T1-4-2), Conroy (3-1), Houk (3-T2) & Wear (T2). The Mocs also had individual wins to open the season at Marquette (Espinosa) & Cincinnati (Conroy).
