They split the next four matches with wins for Lincoln Heck (157) and Sergio Desiante (174) and losses by decision to Zac Cowan (149) over Matthew Williams and Grant O'Dell (165) against Kamdyn Munro. The 16-6 lead meant one more win and the match was clinched.

The Knight swept the final three bouts getting needed bonus point to get the victory. It started with a tight loss at 184 for Jackson Hurst. Hurst, wrestling up three classes from 157, took Sam Schroeder to the buzzer in a 9-6 loss. Andrew Liber sent the match to a decisive 285 with a pin at 197.

Thadd Huff got the lone takedown in that matchup. He scored a reversal as well to get the 5-3 win over Kaleb Snodgrass.

Chattanooga now heads to the Southern Conference Championships in Boone, N.C. The 1-day, all-day affair is in 13 days on Saturday, March 9. The Mocs are 29-time winners of the event.

"We have to look completely different in two weeks," Coach Kyle Ruschell commented. "Today was unacceptable. I take full responsibility. We did not wrestle through positions."
