CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga softball team is on the road for the Adam Brown Memorial Shamrock Classic hosted by Central Arkansas in Conway this weekend.

The Mocs will open play Friday evening with a matchup against host Bears at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time. Chattanooga opens play on Saturday against Saint Francis at Noon and Central Arkansas again at 2:30 p.m. Play will conclude Sunday for the Mocs against the Red Flash at Noon. All times are Eastern.

UTC and Central Arkansas (4-10) have met twice with the Bears claiming both games. The last time they met was at the Bulldog Slamboree in Starkville, Miss., in 2016.

The Mocs are 4-0 against Saint Francis (11-4) with all four wins taking place in Chattanooga. In the last meeting, the Mocs won 8-0 in five innings and launched back-to-back-to-back home runs in the third inning. Brooke Loudermilk struck out six and allowed just one hit in the win.

Chattanooga is 9-7 on the year and hitting .279, fourth in the Southern Conference just behind Furman (.281).
Kendall Forsythe leads the Mocs with a .405 batting average and is fifth in the league standings.
Olivia Lipari and
Kaili Phillips have three home runs each.

Taylor Long is second in the conference for wins with five and has a league-best 41 strikeouts with the next closest being Furman's Sierra Tufts with 21.
